CAPE TOWN- On Tuesday, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said that England opener Rory Burns will miss March two-test tour of Sri Lanka, because of four-month rest following his ankle surgery.
On Thursday, Burns got the injury on playing football to warm up before the second test match against South Africa. He was then ruled out of the rest of the tour.
He underwent a successful surgery on his left ankle for the ruptured ligaments. He will be out of action for up to four months and will miss England’s tour of Sri Lanka in March.
