Bentley returns to profitability with 2019 sales rise

LONDON- On Tuesday, British luxury carmaker Bentley said that it had returned to profitability in 2019 with a 5% increase in sales after a strong European and American performance.

The Volkswagen-owned brand’s sales touched 11,006 vehicles in 2019 boosted by the Continental GT Convertible Model, derivatives and limited edition models.

Bentley’s return to profitability is secured with this result, demonstrated by a successful turnaround implementation which sets the tone for Bentley’s potential for 2020, according to Adrian Hallmark, Chief Executive of the company.

The profit figure for 2019 was not disclosed, however the firm shared that up to September 2019, the operating profit stood at a value of 65 million euros.
