SEOUL- On Monday, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said that the delayed denuclearisation talks and tension flare-up between North Korea and the United States were not beneficial for Pyongyang.
Moon, during a meeting in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping, said that he hoped that a closer cooperation between the two neighbours will restart negotiations driven towards North Korea dismantling its nuclear and missile programmes.
Moon’s office states that Moon and Xi would “play a leading role” in bringing bilateral relations to a “new, higher level”.
