LONDON- Foreign minister Dominic Raab has appealed to U.S. diplomat’s wife given diplomatic immunity following her alleged involvement in a fatal car crash that killed a British teenager. He urged her to “do the right thing” and return to the UK to face investigation.

19-year old Harry Dunn’s motorcycle collided with the car that Anne Sacoolas drove close to RAF Croughton air force base in central England’s Northamptonshire which is used by the U.S. Military.

The wife of the U.S. diplomat left Britain not long after the incident and this set off a tug-of-war between the London and Washington diplomats. The question was whether Anne Sacoolas must return to face the investigation.

After meeting Dunn’s family, Raab released a statement on Tuesday appealing Anne Sacoolas herself to do what’s right. Raab said, “If there is a charging decision from the Crown Prosecution Service, I urge her to come back to the United Kingdom and cooperate with the criminal justice process. We are united in our determination to get justice for Harry. The government will do everything it can.”
